What your brake system is comprised of will depend on the year, make, and model of your vehicle. Here are some common components:

- Brake calipers and pistons
- Disc brake pads or shoes
- Disc brake rotors or drums
- Brake fluid
- Anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module
- Wheel speed sensor
Signs of Bad Brakes
Here are some signs your brakes may need to be looked at, remember to always follow factory recommendations.
- Squealing, squeaking, or grinding when the brakes are engaged
- Vibration in the peddle or steering wheel
- The brake pad is less than a quarter (1/4) inch thick.
- Low brake fluid.
- The brake light is on-not recommended you wait for this light to come if you are experiencing other signs.
