How to Change a Flat Tire: Step-by-Step
1. Find a Safe Location
Before doing anything, it’s important to ensure you’re in a safe location. If you’re on the side of the road, pull over to a flat, stable surface away from traffic. Turn on your hazard lights to alert other drivers, and engage your parking brake to prevent your car from rolling.
2. Gather Your Tools
To change a tire, you’ll need:
- Jack
- Lug wrench
- Spare tire
- Car owner’s manual (to locate the jack points)

3. Loosen the Lug Nuts
